Suitable for any group with 8+ people. We offer surf lesson packages to anyone wanting something exciting and different for a special occasion. We like to work closely with our clients to suit the experience to their needs, whether thats learning about the sea, boosting confidence, moral or making memories with friends
Location: Our surf lessons are based at Dunnet beach in Caithness (near Thurso). We meet at the carpark next to Dunnet Bay Caravan Site.
On demand we can run lessons at Strathy beach and Farr beach. This incures an extra travel fee- Please contact us to inquire about different locations!
Suitable for: Ages 4+
What To Bring: Swimwear, towel & water. If you have your own wetsuit/ surfboard you are welcome use it.
Pricing: £40pp
Max number: 24 per lesson- we can run multiple lessons in a day.(get in touch if over 16 people)
10% off with 12+ participants
(discounted further for schools and clubs).

Extras: Catering can be arranged for after your lesson such as a picnic from the amazing Highland Haven Bunkhouse.

There are sadly no changing or shower facilties at the beach.
School & Youth Groups
Fancy getting your class/ group out into the waves? We run extra discounted surf lessons for school/ youth groups right on Dunnet Bay, one of the safest and most beautiful beaches in Scotland. And for an extra travel fee we can meet you anywhere along the North Coast. Our friendly, experienced instructors keep things fun and beginner-friendly, teaching students the basics of surfing alongside ocean knowledge. It's a brilliant way to get kids active, build their confidence, and give them a day they'll remember. All equipment's included, so no experience or gear needed — just bring your group and we'll take care of the rest.
Depending on your group size we can run multiple hour and a half or 2 hour lessons in a day. While one group is having their surf lesson, the other can spend time playing beach games or arrange to meet the Dunnet beach rangers at the Seadrift centre, beach or forest.
If you'd like us to continue the ocean education in the classroom, register your interest in the Sea Sense for Schools programme! We work with Tide School to find sponsorship from local organisations so the programme is completely free for your school. It involves us coming into the school for a day of workshops with the kids, teaching about how to stay safe around the sea, learning about the tides, streams, wind, waves and rips. This would work really well to schedule before the day of surf lessons so when we're at the beach we can see the elements we've just learned about.
