Capilla is a tiny Spanish tapas bar at the other end of the bay, in Scrabster. Great food, ( great sangria ! ) and a great atmosphere- Make sure to pre order the paella when you book.

Olive is a specialised coffee shop in Thurso, using ethically sourced coffee beans. They also offer a light brunch menu, catering for restricted diets. As they are connected to a health and well-being shop they share an ethos on fresh and healthy ingrediants.

The Holborn offers a bar menu or restaurant menu. In the 'The Red Pepper' restaurant they serve a variety of freshly cooked dishes to appeal to the most delicate and rich of palettes, in their subtly lit and stylish relaxed surroundings. Across their a la carte menu they aim to source as much of our ingredients from local sources as possible.
The Bar menu also offers a great range of high quality food and drink!

The Northern sands hotel is situated just up the road from Dunnet beach (where we run our surf lessons) and offer a variety of menus that are available throughout the day, all year round, using an extensive list of local produce.  An ideal stop off if you are on the North Coast 500.

The summer menu comprises of their stone baked pizzas- best in the North coast- fresh from the wood fired oven in the kitchen, incredible local red meat and fish and a selection of fresh salads - Melvich Hotel garden produce straight to your plate. They are situated in Melvich village which is just under a half an hour drive West from Thurso.

In the village of Bettyhill is the Store cafe. In this quirky room with a lovely log burner, you can get a selection of fresh sandwiches, baking, soup and pies! It's our favorite cafe & definitely worth the stop:)

The Captains Galley is one of the worlds leading seafood restaurants! Focused on serving seasonal, sustainable and creative seafood dishes, they've picked up more than a few awards along the way.

The on-site restaurant Y-not Bar & Grill serves food from 8am through to 9pm 7 days a week. Proudly sourcing local ingredients which are cooked to order with weekly specials, freshly prepared desserts and menu’s to cater all dietary requirements. They offer extensive gluten free and vegetarian options plus a full vegan menu on request. Book any surf experineces with us and make the most of a 10% discount here!

Thurso’s premier Indian restaurant and takeaway Pride of Bengal has been serving freshly made curries , pizza and European food for over 7 years now. They put a lot of love into all of their food and try to make it the best you can have whether takeaway or eating in.

KW Kitchen is a take away shop offering a variety of hot and cold breakfast and lunch options, drinks, snacks and home baking. They offer the most amazing food and we would 100% recommend them if your wanting to grab some lunch.
