North Coast Watersports provides award winning watersport experiences situated along the North Coast 500, where you will see this breathtaking coast from a new perspective. Anyone of any age can grab a board and come out and enjoy the beautiful waters with us and by the end you will be warmed to the heart with stoke and a love for riding waves- our wetsuits are also super cosy.
Iona is the 2019 ladies Scottish Champion and Finn is a previous Under 18s champion- learn to surf with our experienced, level 2 ISA trained coaches that totally love being in the ocean! Iona has grown up on the North Coast and can't wait to share her favourite place in the world with you. Finn grew up on a wee island called Tiree. Always living by the sea has made him a very passionate surfer and coach. Both have previously worked at Blackhouse Watersports on Tiree and Aotearoa surf in New Zealand
Our locations
We operate in the Scottish highlands along the North Coast. Thurso is known as the cold water surfing mecca of the world! Our surf lessons are based at Dunnet beach. This is a long sandy bays that picks up all the north sea swells and is the perfect place to learn or improve how to surf. We can also arrange surf lessons at Strathy, Farr and Durness on demand.
Our RIB Tours are based at Skerray Pier. This hidden gem is the gateway to many stunning, isolated islands that we explore on our tours. And our paddleboard lessons are held at either Dwarwick pier, Brough pier or Scrabster bay- which ever is most sheltered on the day
